Statement of Purpose (draft)

Your document checklist
University
- CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies), You cannot apply for the visa without it, issued after you accept your offer.
- Unconditional offer letter, Confirms your place and course details.
Identity & English
- International passport (valid), Required for the application and biometrics.
- Approved English test (or exemption evidence), Proves you meet the language requirement for your course level.
Finances
- Bank statements held for the required period, Must show course fees + living costs held for the full holding period. Confirm the exact amount and days on gov.uk.
- Official loan or sponsor letter [if applicable], Only if a loan or organisation is funding you, must meet the accepted-evidence rules.
Health
- TB test certificate (Nigeria), Applicants resident in Nigeria must test at an approved clinic before applying.
- Immigration Health Surcharge payment, Paid as part of the application; confirm the current amount on gov.uk.
Financial evidence guide
The UK Student visa asks you to show you can pay your first year of tuition (minus anything already paid) plus living/maintenance costs for a set number of months. The amount is higher for courses in London than outside it.
Your money usually must have been held in an eligible account for a set number of consecutive days ending shortly before you apply. Acceptable evidence includes bank statements, or an official loan/scholarship letter that meets the rules.
Do not state a figure from memory. Confirm the current tuition, maintenance amount, and holding period on gov.uk/student-visa before you gather your evidence. Senda never invents these numbers.
